From the Case

Based on the novel A 'Perfect Stranger' by Danielle Steele.

Another of Danielle Steele's best selling novels is brought to life in this tragic love story. For many years Raphaella Phillips the young and very beautiful wife of a wealthy and powerful diplomat forty years her senior, had a fairy tale marriage. Until her husband John Henry Phillips suffers a massive stroke in their San Francisco home, leaving him bed-ridden and helpless for years. For the past five years Raphaella has remained faithful but sad and alone.

Through numerous chance meetings, fate brings Raphaella together with Alex Hale, a handsome and exiting man who reaches out to her in her time of need. During a secret affair they fall truly, madly and deeply in love with each other, but loyalty to her husband allows the relationship to go no further. However, when John Henry discovers the identity of the man who can give Raphaella the loving comfort and happiness, that he can no longer give her, a secret promise is made between the two men. Will this secret bring joy to Raphaella when her husband is gone?...or will a tragic misunderstanding destroy any chance of happiness between the two lost souls?

Zoe's Review

Great film, the above pretty much sums up the plot perfectly. I didn't have a single moment of boredom while watching this. Its a great story of true romance under tragic circumstances. Stacey Haiduk who plays Raphaella is a very beautiful woman who just oozes sex appeal and is ideal for a part such as this (That's what the Webmaster said anyway). We were captivated by the well-written and acted movie that gets a well-deserved recommendation.

Holly plays Amanda, Alex's daughter who lives in New York with her mother and has just had a tattoo applied to her wrist (One of Hollys tattoos in real life, of course) who's parents dont approve (they never do). We first see Holly when her father visits and takes her out for lunch with his mother who pronounces "I for one love your tattoo". Amanda is mugged and goes to San Francisco for an extended visit with her father, eventually moving there permanently. Later Amanda encourages her father to go to Switzerland to find Rapaella.

Buy it without delay.
